Shyamasis Das - South Asia Women in Energy (Sawie)

Shyamasis has over 10 years’ experience in dealing with core and cross-cutting energy and climate change issues such as electric mobility, energy efficiency, power sector policies, regulations & reforms, climate funding, fossil fuel subsidies, etc. He has exhibited the bandwidth and hands-on experience in designing interventions and executing complex projects to support India’s climate commitment and Sustainable Development Goals.

He has an illustrious track-record of supporting Ministries, Departments and Public Agencies at national and sub-national levels in India and other developing countries, Regulators, Power Utilities, Financial Institutions, Multi-lateral and Bilateral Organisations, International Think Tanks and Donor Agencies.

Shyamasis is credited with starting and developing the Power Utility & Electric Mobility practice at Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) and making it a leading think tank in the sector in a span of two years.

His experience is complemented by an International Masters in Energy Management (France).
