Ragini Singh - South Asia Women in Energy (Sawie)

Ms. Ragini Singh is presently a Manager in BSES Yamuna Power Ltd. She graduated in Electrical Engineering and after completing her graduation she started her career with BSES Yamuna Power Ltd. in 2014 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee.

In BSES she has been involved in Data Analytics of all the aspects of DISCOM like Business Operations, Reliability and quality of supply, Consumer services and Different loss reduction schemes etc. She is responsible for meter data analysis of approx. 17 lacs, 60 thousand 3- Ph and 16 lakhs 1-Ph BYPL consumers on monthly basis for Theft Analytics.

She has 5 years of diverse experience in Data Analytics, Energy Audit and Business operations. She is exploring the Analytics in DISCOMs perspective with a vision to explore the Data asset in company to generate business values for enhance operations. She has improved conventional rule-based analysis by adding hypothesis testing, Machine learning (Supervised and Unsupervised), Time series forecasting, Regression analysis, Sentiment analysis into them. She is responsible for designing, updating and maintenance of Dashboard of DISCOM and revise in line with suggestions with concerned members. She has explored the text data analysis in DISCOM for better consumer services by analyzing the feedback, tweets, complaints and collected survey data. Earlier that she was involved in Energy Auditand loss calculation at Distribution Transformer and Division level in DISCOM.

She was co-author in the research paper ‘Applied Data Analytics for Sustainability of Utility’ in Apr-17 and shortlisted for presentation during seminar by Metering India IEEMA (Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Associations).
