Pamli leads the Energy Access work in World Resources Institute, India (WRI India). She brings 14 years of experience in the energy sector. She started her career as a field engineer with Schlumberger and went on to work on consulting projects in BCG and Shell. She is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Roorkee and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Prior to WRI India, Pamli worked closely with clean energy enterprises at New Ventures India, supporting them in scaling up their operations and seeking investments. Having closely followed and covered Renewable Energy and Oil & Gas companies as an equity analyst before her MBA, she brings in hands on experience in solving some of the business model related challenges for clean tech companies.

In the more recent past, Pamli has been spending most of her time travelling to remote locations in India working on energy access problems, and engaging with governments, investors and technology companies. She works with end users and institutions to help them integrate sustainable energy solutions into their strategy. Pamli has co-authored a Report on Renewable Energy Jobs and poverty reduction in India and many widely read articles on the role of energy in development. She has been mentoring clean energy enthusiasts and other start-ups in the social and environmental space.
