Lalima Goel - South Asia Women in Energy (Sawie)

Lalima Goel leads new energy initiatives at Tata Power Delhi Distribution and Smart Grid lab, a pioneering distribution utility of India.

In this role, Lalima actively pursues technology partners to develop pilot programs that help modernize the distribution grid. She also works closely with regulators and key stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity to drive sustainable change.

At Tata Power Delhi, she has directed multiple distributed energy resources projects to promote the adoption of renewable energy resources to build next generation distribution grid.

She works with USTDA on various initiatives for Tata Power Delhi to drives regulatory approval that helps define robust business model for deployment across Delhi and eventually India. As part of technology collaboration team, she is responsible to explore collaborative space across new and renewable energy as part of Smart Grid road map.

Lalima was based in USA for 20 years and completed her MBA in 1998 from UT Arlington. Before she moved to India, she was part of the product marketing team at MEMC/SunEdison worked with global multi-disciplinary teams to enable sales & delivery of a variety of semiconductor & solar industry products world-wide.

An engineer by training, Lalima is a versatile results-driven performance-oriented professional with strong business and analytical skills and excels in managing complex global projects and teams for timely execution.
