Deepika Bagaria - South Asia Women in Energy (Sawie)

Deepika Bagaria is a Manager at NTPC Ltd, which is an Indian Public Sector Undertaking, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.

She has been part of this organization for over 10 years. She is responsible of Conceptualising and driving digital transformation initiatives across the organisation through relevant functions; Technical and behavioural change management through training, policies and platforms; Researching new trends and emerging technologies like IoT, Machine Learning and exploring opportunities for their application in various business processes and Integrating existing digital platforms with upcoming uses.

She has achieved her B.TECH in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology. In addition, she has also done her certification in Energy Risk Professional from Global Association of Risk Professionals, USA. Currently, she is doing her Masters in Public Policy from GPS, UC San Diego.

Some of her achievements include:

• She has Awarded GM Meritorious Award twice: For Process Transformation Initiatives (2014); For crucial role in formu- lating NTPC Kawas’ Business Excellence Model
  (2011).
• Won Professional Circles Convention at Western Region Level for techno-commercial study in “Carbon Capture & Sequestration” – presented at National Level.
• Won Business Minds (conducted by AIMA) at NTPC National Level – 2014.
