Aditya is a power sector professional with over 15 years of experience and leads the market development for the AES Corporation in India (a US-headquartered, global power company). In his current role, he is responsible for business development, strategy, policy advocacy, and building partnerships in India. Aditya also serves as a board member of a joint venture between AES & Mitsubishi Corporation.
More recently, he has played a vital role in establishing and scaling AES energy storage footprint in India. It included cultivating strategic partnerships, as well as
negotiating and transacting in the latest technology. He has been instrumental in the deployment of India’s first Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage Project, a 10MW/10 MWh project, installed at a Tata Power Delhi Distribution substation in Rohini, Delhi. It is also the biggest operating energy storage project in South Asia.
Aditya believes in the power of technology and how it can bring about changes in the way we do things. He is actively involved with a clean energy fund focused on investing in emerging technologies. He is also associated with an accelerator fund focused on nurturing and mentoring start-ups working on technologies cutting across industries.
