Vaishali Nigam Sinha is a practitioner of sustainability and gender empowerment ideals for over a decade. Currently, she is serving as the Chief CSR, Sustainability and Communications Officer of ReNew Power which is India’s leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP).
In 2010, she founded iCharity, a non-profit online platform by enlisting the NGOs in India to provide the committed people working in social sector with a platform to showcase their work to reach out the potential donors.
In order to achieve her mantra of sustainability and gender empowerment ideals she is deeply engaged with the industry bodies, think tanks and educational institutions by being Member of the Governing Council of the UN Global Compact Network, India (GCNI) and Chairperson of their Gender Committee; Co – Chair of CII Indian Women Network and Woman Empowerment Committee; Member of the Steering Committee of CII Foundation Woman Exemplar Program; Chair of the CII Northern Region Committee on CSR and Affirmative Action and the CII Task Force on Making NCR Less Polluted and am on the Advisory Council of the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development.
Also, she is part of the Columbia Global Center’s Mumbai Advisory Board and a member of the Governing Council of the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women. She also serves on the Advisory Committee of Centre of Excellence for Research on Clean Air (CERCA) at IIT Delhi, the Board of the Columbia Centre in Mumbai and an Advisory Council Member to the President of Wellesley College. She also spearheads a diverse array of community welfare initiatives under the aegis of ReNew India Initiative (RII) spanning 150 villages in 8 states to impact over 200,000 lives.
