Shalini is an integrated Communication professional with 20 years of experience in the industries such as Power, IT, Telecom, Textile & Garments and has been heading Corporate Communications at Tata Power since October 2004 and has a lead responsibility for External and Internal Communications. Her focus areas include brand & corporate identity management, media relations, financial communications, crisis management, internal communication, & event management.
During her tenure, she has launched and spearheaded several award-winning social brand properties to reinforce Tata Power’s commitment to Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility & position it as a leader in cause branding such as Club-Enerji, Act for Mahseer and Greenolution. Under her leadership, Corporate Communications function of Tata Power has won several national and international communication accolades for Tata Power.
Shalini is a member of International and national communication organizations- International Association of Business Communications and India Forum of Corporate Communicators & Association of Business Communicators, India. She also represents Tata Power on the ‘Media Committee’ of BMA for the last 5 years. She has a visiting faculty on Corporate Communications to Ahmedabad Management Association, Ahmedabad and for Marketing Communications at Symbiosis School of Communications, Pune. She has served as in-house Faculty for various in-house training programs on communication skills and branding at Arvind Mills and Accenture. Shalini has a Master’s degree in Communications & Extension from M.S. University Baroda.
