Shafqat Mobarak is an Assistant Manager, Policy & Regulatory for India Energy Storage Alliance. She deals in policy advocacy relating to energy storage, microgrids, EVs, renewable energy. With nearly six years of experience as a Public Policy Specialist, she is helping to enable the industry’s growth strategies through collaboration with Central Government, State Governments/Regulators and Industry actioners.
Before this, she has worked as a Young Professional (Energy & International coordination) at NITI Aayog. Wherein, she has significantly assisted and contributed in Draft National Energy Policy and New India @75. She has also handled the strategic international partnership to bring investments on twelve economic sectors between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of India.
She has also worked as an Assistant Consultant (Infrastructure) at Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, a downstream oil and gas regulator. Therein, she assisted in formulating the PNGRB (Third Party Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2015 and III and IV rounds of City or Local Gas Distribution Network bidding.
Shafqat holds a Master’s in Business Administration specialising in Energy and Petroleum and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. She is currently pursuing a PGP in Business Analytics and Business Intelligence from the University of Texas, Austin.
