Namrata Mukherjee - South Asia Women in Energy (Sawie)

Namrata Mukherjee is heading policy advocacy at central and state level at Sterlite Power to assist the Business Development teams for Central/State Transmission Infrastructure Projects which includes opportunity/ pipeline creation, investments required by the country. She is responsible for driving Policy initiatives at Central and State levels for opportunity creation and working closely with Regulatory bodies. I am also responsible for actively driving various committee and coordination meetings for creation of opportunities and contributing towards creation of the long-term strategy/roadmap for Transmission Infrastructure Projects.

She has several years of experience across policy and regulatory affairs in the power sector, commercial and market related aspects of Power Generation; Transmission and Distribution; Renewable Energy including solar, wind, small hydro & biomass technologies; Energy Efficiency and Climate Change.

Prior to this, she has worked for IL & FS Energy Development Company, Mercados Energy Markets, Sustainable Energy Regulation Network (SERN) and TERI. She has earned her BA in Economics from Delhi University and she has done MSc in Energy and Environment from University of Twente.
