First Brainstorming Meeting on South Asian Women in Energy

U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) /Industry Advisory Council (IAC) supported under USAID’s Greening the Grid (GTG)-Renewable Integration and Sustainable Energy (RISE), initiative welcomed women leaders on board, who participated in the first brainstorming meeting held at ReNew Power, and shown their commitment to connect, inspire and empower women professionals in power sector. The leaders deliberated upon the need for building a women forum for energy utilities, driven by an independent entity to form a collaborative process.

The forum will provide an opportunity to mobilize gender equality champions from diverse verticals of energy sector and ages aiming at reinforcing their voice, networking and advocacy to make commitments to mobilize this initiative. This platform would not only recognize the outstanding contribution by Women professionals who have risen to eminent leadership positions but also would showcase the journey of women entrepreneurs that shall inspire and mentor the young aspiring professionals in the field.
