Amit is a solar engineer, with PhD in solar energy and Fulbright Scholarship from NREL, USA and Chevening Fellow at King’s College, London. He likes to share real life stories on how solar energy is transforming people’s lives across health, transport, water and agriculture sector.
He works with the World Bank as Senior Energy Specialist and is currently working on $2 billion renewables portfolio across India, Bangladesh and Maldives.
Amit has previously worked with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)-Abu Dhabi, Asian Development Bank (ADB)-Philippines and the Clinton Foundation-US. He has authored two books on climate change policy and waste to energy and has several international peer reviewed journal publications. His hobbies include scuba diving, badminton and hiking.
