India became a venue for a meeting between Washington and Moscow when U.S. special envoy on climate issues John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met briefly here and discussed the global climate agenda.
The meeting occurred at a hotel here where the two leaders were staying on unrelated trips. The two discussed climate change issues, a senior source told ET. It is understood that Russia has backed USA on climate change issues which is among the issues that the two cooperate. Other issues include outer space and disarmament.
